Hyundai Elantra: Timing System / Front Oil Seal Repair procedures

Replacement
1.
Remove the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")
2.
Remove the front oil seal (A).

3.
Apply engine oil on the edge of new oil seal.
   
•
Remove any debris from the lip portion of the oil seal.
4.
Using the SST (09231-2E000), install a front oil seal (A).

   
•
Do not reuse the front oil seal.
5.
Install the crankshaft damper pulley.
(Refer to Timing System - "Crankshaft Damper Pulley")
