Hyundai Elantra: Instrument Cluster / Transmission Shift Indicator

Manual transmission shift indicator

This indicator informs which gear is desired while driving to save fuel.

• Shifting up : â–²2, â–²3, â–²4, â–²5, â–²6
• Shifting down :â–¼1, â–¼2, â–¼3, â–¼4, â–¼5

For example

: Indicates that shifting up to the 3rd gear is desired (currently the shift lever is in the 2nd or 1st gear).

: Indicates that shifting down to the 3rd gear is desired (currently the shift lever is in the 4th, 5th, or 6th gear).

When the system is not working properly, the indicator is not displayed.

Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) and dual clutch transmission shift indicator

This indicator displays which gear position is selected.

• Park :P
• Reverse : R
• Neutral : N
• Drive :D
• Manual shift Mode

- Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) : 1~8
- Dual Clutch Transmission : 1~7

Shift indicator pop-up (if equipped)

The pop-up displays the current gear position selected for 2 seconds (P/R/N/D).

The shift indicator pop-up function can be activated or deactivated from the User Settings mode in the cluster LCD display.
