Rear Seat Belt Retractor Repair procedures

Replacement
   
•
When installing the belt, make sure not to damage the retractor.
1.
Remove the package tray trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Package Tray Trim")
2.
After loosening the mounting bolt, remove the rear seat belt lower anchor (A).

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

3.
Loosen the retractor (A) mounting bolt, remove the rear seat belt (B).

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

4.
To intall, reverse the removal procedure.

Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).

Rear Center Seat Belt Retractor Repair procedures

Replacement
   
•
When installing the belt, make sure not to damage the retractor.
1.
Remove the package tray trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "Rear Package Tray Trim")
2.
After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the rear center seat belt retractor (A).

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.8 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

3.
To intall, reverse the removal procedure.

Replace any damaged clips.

Rear Seat Belt Buckle Repair procedures

Replacement
1.
Remove the rear seat cushion assembly.
(Refer to Rear Seat - "Rear Seat Cushion Assembly")
2.
Loosen the mounting bolt, remove the rear seat belt buckle (A).

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

[RH]

Tightening torque :
39.2 ~ 53.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)

3.
To intall, reverse the removal procedure.
   
•
The buckle and tongue of different types are impossible to be latched, so check that the buckle & tongue have the same types.
•
Distinguish the rear side seat buckle from the center seat buckle before latching.
•
If foreign materials are stuck in the inside button of buckle, it may cause interference during the latching process, leading to a functional problem (for example- beverages (viscous drinks), toothpicks, sand, plastic, vinyl, metal pieces, etc.).
•
After latching the buckle and tongue, check the fastening force using a Push-Pull Gauge (fastening force: 3kgf or less).
